WAVE Journey says, "Slide Lite is a stable shoe with great traction"

With the GoLite Slide Lite slip-ons, my feet look pretty trendy whether I venture near or far. For traveling to the market or schlepping around Europe these fashionable and functional shoes match well whether wearing shorts, pants or a skirt.
For the most part, I don't do too well with slip-on shoes. Either they rub my heels from being
too sloppy or just from friction. But, when I tried on the Slide Lite I was pleasantly surprised
with how comfortable they were and even though they are a casual shoe they provided plenty of foot support for a day of city sightseeing on pavements.
I have found them to be well constructed and the rubber sole proved to be ideal for casual
use. Breathable and cool, they've been ideal for wearing with a lightweight sock or going
barefoot. And, speaking of barefoot - the pair I tested were smooth on the inside and didn't have any scratchy areas that would cause blisters.
Also, I didn't find they needed a breaking in period as they were comfortable right out of the box. I am not sure I will be wearing them on trails, as my personal preference is for a lace-up shoe which in my opinion gives extra stability on uneven terrain.
The GoLite Footwear BareTech design with zero drop heel is quite unique and time and time again has proved to cause less fatigue for my feet. I don't find the toe box to be as roomy as I would like - it is a tad shallow for my feet and sits a little low on the top of the toes for my liking.
Bottom Line:
The Slide Lite is a very stable slip-on shoe with great traction. The lightweight mesh upper
cools and keeps feet dry. As with other GoLite shoes and boots tested, I haven't needed to use an orthotic in this shoe. My feet really like the BareTech design and zero drop heel that GoLite uses on all their footwear - it really makes a huge difference to me with stability and
lack of foot fatigue. This shoe is available in three fun colors that are ideal for spring and summer wear. As I am convinced the Slide Lite will be the perfect travel companion, it will be my second shoe (after my hiking boots) during WJ's upcoming 7 week trip around Europe.
WJ Rating:
For around town & travel: 10/10
For trail walking: 5/10 (personal preference - I don't like slip on shoes for uneven terrain)
