My trail running consists of running the mountains and trails of New England. I have completed multiple ultra-marathons, including the Stone Cat 50 miler and Pineland Farms 50k (twice). I completed the grueling USATF Mountain Goat Series in the Spring of 2011. I love mountain running because of the true grit that is needed in every run. I love finding remote, challenging trail runs that test my endurance and character.

As he begins his third decade of racing, the trails and mountains of the northeast are where he feels at home. His busy schedule typically includes more than two dozen snowshoe, trail, and mountain races throughout the year. A clinical exercise physiologist by profession he lives with his wife and children in Strafford, NH.

Chris lives in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains where the dirt begins at his doorstep and the Appalachian Trail is 10 mile run away. Living a life of voluntary simplicity has led him toward a philosophy of going light to intensify his connection to the earth. He enjoys feeding his inner beast by racing trails, and running in the rain, mud, sleet, and snow that are the trademark of New England trail running conditions.

As a 22 year veteran of the US Military, I¡¯ve always been forced to stay physically fit. Only in the last 4 years have I discovered the ¡°JOY¡± of running, mostly trail running. Having run 25+ road, trail, and mud runs last year, I made it my goal to finish a marathon. That¡¯s behind me now and it¡¯s back to the uneven surface for me.

This will be my 12th season as a competitive long course triathlete. Last year I was turned on to snow shoe racing by acidotic RACING during my off season as a cross training sport and fell in love with it! I have since started trail running this year as another alternative to pounding the pavement and I like the challenge immensely. Bring on the mountains and the trails for 2012.

After settling into a sedentary lifestyle in his late teens and ballooning to 240 lbs. In the fall of 2007 Ryan decided to make a change and started hiking and then after developing a love for the mountains began running a year later and lost over 80 lbs. He found that he had a knack for moving quickly on the mountain trails and has obtained several speed records in the mountains and has logged some strong finishes in the New England Ultra and Trail running scene. He lives in Goffstown, NH.

Trail and mountain racing provides me with a unique opportunity to connect with nature and discover myself in a way that road running does not. Stripping away the asphalt removes not only a physical barrier, but also an emotional one as childhood memories of running through the forest return. I'm very excited to represent GoLite Footwear on the trails and in the mountains of New England in 2012.
